Just checked it: India is not listed under "Supported countries", maybe the problem lies there? But then again, he shouldn't have BBM in the first place I guess.

Have you tried the suggested cache reset trick posted by AVP TI? Usually this small trick helps to get the latest update. Just open your App World. Select "My World" (or however it is called in India, the place where all your apps are listed). In there, just hold down your ALT-key and type rst
Your App World will now close by itself, once you restart it, the app cache is cleared and you should be able to see previously unavailable updates.

There are a few countries like India ,UAE and a few other where BBM7 is still not available officially from app world.So right now the only solution is to download BBM6.2 and get going.

If your want to Install BBM 6.2 on your device then from your BlackBerry Browser browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do? code=bbm6 and download BBM ver.6.2 until you get any notification from App World regarding BBM7 upgrade

This is weher you have to do research!! If you want bbm7 then type this into your web browser on ya phones !! Rroyy.com
