Helloo Crackberry World!!!!,

I just updated my 9900 to the latest vondaphone OS(.825), This by far is the best OS out for the 9900....However i am unable to restore my bbm contacts via BBID, it gets stuck on the "restoring" screen and just loops, I have tried a battery pull several times with no success....any suggestions????

Hey,
try to download the old BBM 6 and try to restore it from your backup. if you didn't get it right try to remove it and install it again.

Silly question, as I just did the same update last night without any issues to restoring my BBM 7, did you do a backup of your phone through BlackBerry Desktop Software before doing the upgrade? Not the backup that it does automatically when you update, but one of your own? I always do my own backup in case anything happens during the update process. Also, do you have the latest version of BB Desktop Software?

I was hesitant to update the OS on my phone as almost everyone is having issues with BBM 7 after updating but mine went smooth and flawless last night. After updating my 9900 to 7.1.0.825, I went through the usual setup process, it asked me for my BBID, I entered it and it carried forward all of my email accounts and set everything up except my BBM. I clicked the BBM icon and was prompted with a message that stated "this app requires the latest version of BBID, click here to download" or something to that extent. I clicked here to download and once that was complete, I opened up BBM and voila! all of my contacts and chat history was there. The only thing it did, was close all of my open chats. I don't really know what I did differently than everyone else, but my BB OS update went off without a hitch.
