Hi all I'm new to the bb phone as previousley just Iphone user. I perchased my bb bold 9900 on xmas eve since then it asked for me to update to the latest os v7 but iv lost access to my bbm icon its installed but not there can any one help ???

on the menu press the blackberry key and then show all icons, if not it may be placed into a folder somewhere, if you upgraded to the latest bbm though you might have to downgrade it as its playing up for some os5 users

pretty sure you can, i got the update on a customers 9000 running os5 but it caused the bbm icon to disappear and it wouldnt work properly. Also ignore the os5 part OP i misread 9900 as 9000

You can install BBM7 on OS5 devices but you can't use BBM Voice as of now.

BBM7 is supported on all devices running OS4.5 or higher. The 8520 runs OS5, so yes, it will work.
