try leaving it plugged to the wall with battery out a whole night some people's 9900 has come back to life like that

I kept it plugged in without a battery for an entire night and didn't have any luck - any other suggestions?

Have you tried using another PC to update the BB OS? Sounds to me like your issue is there.

follow this guide and yea try another pc with everything freshly installed

Yes, I've tried multiple PCs with everything freshly installed- still no luck.
