Here was the response from Mobihand's developer(s) if anyone is interested:
"Hi, we knew the issue and tried almost everything to fix it.
It's actually caused by a upgrade of ROM and without RIM telling us
the changes we can't find the cause.
We will keep trying and hope to find a solution.
You can exit Blink instead of uninstall it to charge your phone or
wait for a version that will work with the current ROM or maybe a ROM
that will work will Blink."
UN. REAL. It worked. I'm assuming there is no way this is the case for everyone, but I'm blown away that an app was the root cause of this now 4-month long issue...
I also have this App but what's better software now to replace Blink? I just deleted this... hope this really fix.. and yes will report back! =p

"Advance OS And LED", I removed Blink and got it. It's free from Appworld. It has a million options and totally ROCKS!!!! You should definitely try it!!!

I emailed them too about a month ago but they din't bother responding me lol.
Advance OS and LED looks good tho.
For keeping people updated purposes (for those who care), I am testing versions over the weekend for Mobihand so they can try and roll out a corrected version/update next week.
Again, I'll keep you posted.
**Side note: I wish there were a perm thread at the top for this issue (or some form of alternative) as it seems there are a few new threads a week created re: the same issue. But i guess maybe that's just laziness and not digging around first by the OP's.
This is incredible. I went in search of answers after my 2nd blackberry bold started doing this, and indeed yesterday I had reinstalled the blink app. Looks like I now have 2 perfectly fine blackberry bolds.
