So I got a BB 9900... I'm new to BB faternity. Is it possible to use FB/Twitter apps from my BB with wireless connectivity (not BB service)?

You need to have the service enabled before it will allow you to use wifi. You can see the connection but wont be able to use it.

The thing is that I can use my browser through wifi... not the fb app! Is there any way other than to take up bb services?

No. There is not. You need an active BlackBerry service.

The age old question, do I need a data plan to use a Blackberry? Yes, without it you have just purchased a very nice looking and expensive text messenger.

haha Najo! I'm sorry if I'm a BB newbie. I do plan to take the services but I have no time to go to the Telecom office to do so... Once I have time, will do that!
