    My blackberry won't charge (actually my Mom's) and it has the shape of a battery with a red X across it.
    any insight to this? my main concern is that she loses all her contents as she has not backed up.

    Hi and welcome.
    Do you have another battery you could try?
    Also, when you leave it plugged in for about 30 minutes it does not start to charge at all?
