    Default Back to berries - 9900 :)

After a second try with iPhone and/or Android, back to my beloved Blackberry 9900, glad I came back, nice things on the other side but not a BB experience, somehow I feel at home again .

Thanks chrisy520, I liked it but many things are complicated to use, now I can manage my phone with one hand, plus profiles and many other things I missed, nothing like a physical keyboard, even with some people calling me old fashion, could care less!

Is it a worldwide trend now?
    I mean;
It starts like this: > Think of being "backward" and "un cool" using a BB and move to so called "cool" platform. > Boast a lot on how amazing the new "cool" platform and device is. > Drool on the big screen size etc.. > Get messed up with the more clicks and touches. > Start missing the easy and functional features of the "un cool" BB. > Run back to mama. > Buy a BB again. > Peace of mind. > END <

But I do feel that people are getting tired of the eye candy force fed to them via media and competitors in these so called "cool" devices and many are coming back to the most practical smartphones in the world; Blackberry!
This is the time for RIM to get it's game right.
Sort the current issues, bring out a few amazing devices, all touch and as well as physical keyboard models, add a good cross platform messenger with video chat capabilities and polish up the key strengths of traditional Blackberry!
    That's it.

    Sorry, I blabbered a lot. :$

Welcome back to the BB family!

I think also the low price of basic tablets also mean people maybe coming back to a more physical keyboard phone. I find most of these Andorid and I-phones more or less a a smaller version of a table...(well I know its not but it is in a funny kinda way!!)

Sorry...judging by bb's subscribers, I don't think many people are running back to bb ...I think it might be the opposite.

Maybe. BuT judging from the number of android and iPhone users spending time at crackberry...it almost seems like there are more wandering eyes than happy owners.

Its a demographics issue. If you were too young when blackberry was popular then all you know is android and iOS. Unfortunately they are the emerging market and not us. Not to say that there aren't young BB users but its a shrinking demographic for RIM.

I have had all the phones GNex, 4S, S2, Note, and here a sit with BB9900. i just got sick of chasing specs and ecco systems. Im to the point now where i just want a phone to call, text/email, and play music reasonably well. The 9900 fits the bill for me. I wish it had a 3in screen and a better battery thats about it!

Hi guys I live in Singapore and to be honest, I think the Bold 9900 is becoming to be very popular amongst the population here. If anyone is using a new Blackberry in Singapore, they would most probably be using the Bold 9900

Admorris, you're writing this message from an HTC One X, exactly the phone I returned to get the 9900, very fast phone but it felt like a toy to me, ......and NO, I'm not trading you my 9900 for it

I am 15, and i love blackberry's, there young people who have them because at my school its about 50/50, half have iPhones and the other half have blackberry's so i don't really know whats more popular.

I think in time more people will come back. im starting to see it people are interested every time i pull out my 9930 people are like what kinda blackberry is that. so i tell them and they will be like i wish att had that then i tell them they do and explain to them that its not ur same old 8330 kinda blackberry. i got tired of the rat race of always trying to get the latest and greatest android u just cant keep up. and soon as u get it 3 more are announced, that blow ur phone out of the water really glad to be back to blackberry. as a phone the i have my 7 in tab as a play device

Haha I've noticed this too, but for me it was sort of different. Basically having a blackberry plan on T-Mobile got to be too expensive in our low-income household so my sister and I decided to switch to Virgin Mobile until we could find something similarly cheap with better phones. I had the LG Optimus for about a year, and then switched the HTC Wildfire S, both decent phones for only paying $25-35/month for 300 minutes plus unlimited texting and data. But I ALWAYS planned on going back to the best blackberry eventually Nothing beats it. Now that Simple Mobile has $50 unlimited everything plans, I'm getting a new BB 9900 off craigslist :P Hopefully it doesn't blow up in my face because I really miss blackberry XD I'm so tired of swype... it does NOT make typing any easier on a touch screen. In fact its exceedingly frustrating because it always gets words wrong. Takes me twice as long to type on it as a result. Ugh!

Welcome back! I tried the android world (samsung galaxy s2) for about 4 days and took it right back. It was big, bulky, battery life was crap. Friends told me to get app killers, close programs, but I didn't have much open. BB's are solid phones to have...esp for conducting business

I went from a BB to an Android, back to BB then to an iPhone 4s and back to a BB 9930. I love my BB! Not trading it for anything!

I went from a BB to an Android then back to a BB followed by an iPhone 4s and then back to my BB 9930. I have to say, BB is the best! Lovin' my BB!
