Anyone use LinPhone (VOIP SIP Client)???
I downloaded the client Linphone for Blackberry 1.0.1 | Linphone, an open-source video sip phone and installed but when attempting to run it just locks up requiring a battery pull.
Has anyone else installed and configured this client successfully? - 04-27-2012, 01:25 PM #2
They just updated their App with OS 7 support. Did you download the newest version, and are you running OS 7. Not OS 7.1, but 7.

You would need to call your carrier and ask them to add the BlackBerry Service on your device. Unless you have a BB plan (Not a generic data plan) some applications like BBM will not work.
It would be much easier to check with your friends in the KSA to see which SIP/voIP clients/services they use.Cuius testiculos habes, habeas cardia et cerebellum...

Thanks for the reply,
it mean that BIS is must to use SIP VOIP clients? i know the sip providers here in KSA, and i dont know which sip clients work on Blackberry OS7.1 9860, no one is using bb in my contacts.
. my first priority is to use SIP VOIP in my phone. Nimbuzz/fring not suppoting in bb. But my confusion is that, i can bowse internet, but why sip clients like. mobile voip, adorevoip, linphone are not working on 3G,it seems that they are not recognise my ual net sim. may thay also need BIS service? i have tested the Mobile voip(Action voip) on wifi and it works ?

Re: Anyone use LinPhone (VOIP SIP Client)???
I have no BIS/BES but have sucessfully used the SIP client fgmirotec, as well as many other apps. I have installed a new service book so I can also use the native BB browser, although I also use Opera Mini. There is no need for BIS/BES to use mobile VoIP, just a working data connection (WiFi or 3G).
But can anyone tell me how to install linphone?
