I just got mine a couple of days ago and staying in touch has never been easier. The only thing im currently working on is training the battery. After letting the initial factory charge drain to dead I did a full first complete recharge. It only lasted about 7 hours though with light use. SO recharging it a second time and so far so good. This normal or does something need to be fixed??

can't find another phone with better email for business use and the keyboard is the best I have seen. I hate IPhone and Droids. I am in sales and have been sitting at my PC and the email comes into the BB before my Outlook and I have ultra high speed internet. Is the 10 better?

I was using my 9930 until last week then I switched to my Nokia Lumia 822 WP8 phone. I tried a z10 and I was not totally impressed with it so I made the change. I really miss my Bold but with the launch of BB10 I feel support for OS7 would slowly die. I know the physical keyboard model is coming out but the lack of track pad and BB keys to me makes it just another touch screen device. I enjoy the WP8 device and it fits all my needs at this time.

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend to anyone buying the 9930 brand new or any other BB7 device. With the Z10 sooo close and the Q10 not far behind, why buy a brand new phone that seems to be irrelevant? Buying a used BB7 device is a different story, but buying one brand new or using your upgrade for it would be a waste IMO. One major reason being the lack of 4G LTE. I couldn't picture anyone buying a new 3G device nowadays including the iPhone 4s. Verizon says they will have their entire 3G footprint covered by 4G by the end of 2013 I believe.

Keyboard... Keyboard... Keyboard... very smooth love this 9900 to death so far.... got mine used but thanks to Z10 got a 3 month old used 9900 for only $200.00 Canadian Mint shape it still looks brand new.
Updated OS very happy came from 9360.

Just bought one yesterday. I love it. Ditched my iPhone5 to get back to my bb roots.
I haven't figured it all out yet, but I already feel like I have improved my life. 3G is faster than the LTE spotty service at my home location.
Trying to figure out how to move my contacts from my Playbook to the 9930. Once I get that done, I'm "golden".

The Verizon store near me has completely done away with their BlackBerry section. They said you can order one but until the Z10 they will not be carrying them in store. A BlackBerry rep came in there and talked to them about it and asked why they had removed the OS7 devices and they claimed to do a Battery pull and told the BlackBerry rep that they do not want to carry the device because of the boot time and it was turning customers off.


My 9930 is freezing at about 75% when booting. It takes me about 6 battery pulls and about a hour to get my device up and functional again


But they rep did say they had a demo at the store for the Z10

Just a suggestion...load up 7.1.0.861 OS on your device and you could get close to 10 hours of moderate BB use...2 hours of calls, 100 texts, 50 or so emails, 3 hours of twitter/FB. Once you bridge the PlayBook though, your time gets cut in half.

I pointed out the error in that thinking since I was there for a 9930. They also reported that it would 2 months before they get a Z10. The sales rep also said I would not like the BB10 OS because it was so different from anything I ever used. I thanked him for his concern, but I will figure it out easily. Idiots!

I'm bout to get one! Haven't been this excited for a phone since well.... My last bb. Coming from a iphone4s which was a awesome game boy but horrible phone. Gonna rock the 9900 till a really good bb10 device with keyboard comes along. Like the look of the q10 but wanna see more to come. Last BB was os6 bold 9700. So can't wait to get my mits on os7 with a touch screen and awesome bold keyboard! Always wanted to press my 9700 screen or 8900 for that matter and finally get to have it!

Because of $ and not wanting to give up my Verizon unlimited plan I might by a 9930 outright. I'm coming from a 9330 and it would be a significant step up. I love the BB 10 but right now $ is the issue.
