2 or 3 weeks ago DangerMouse UK who I believe works for Vodafone mentioned in a thread that Vodafone would be releasing a 4xx O/S update in a few days, but to date nothing has appeared on the Vodafone website.
The most likely reason is that they have specific issues they want fixed in this update and if those weren't in place then there wouldn't be any point them rushing out a release since they were happy enough to launch with the version they did, similarly you'd expect any update to be intended for most european carriers since they launched at similar times and those presumably have must-fix issues too.
