I'm trying to setup a BlackBerry 9900 for my Dad on Tesco Mobile in the UK.

I've used to on phone setup wizard to add his address, and after some timeouts, its finally added his address.

How ever a test email I sent through took 12 minutes, where its normally instant.

I also couldn't sync his address book, as it just sat on initializing for ever, so I cancelled it in the end.

Are there any BIS issues with gmail at the moment?

I'm aware they are changing some settings, but I didn't think this was happening until January?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

I have been having issues with my GMAIL ids for a few days now. Massive delays.

I have 9 accounts set up on my BB and all non gmail ids are working fine.

There is a thread on in the General Discussion board (on Crackberry) as well about the issue.
