Now this could be down to 'newbie incompetence' but while I'm typing, most times when I hit O I get P come up? I understand these are next to each other on the keyboard and they are near the right hand side but has anyone else had this problem or is there something wrong with the keyboard/phone?

Sounds like a keyboard build quality defect. There have been a few posts about solid keyboard issues related to hardware. Have it replaced by a new/like-new unit.

Yes take it back for sure! Sounds to me like hardware defect, as long as your sure your not hitting the other letter by mistake!
