Hey guys, I searched and found nothing so if its been answered i apologize. But here is my question. One of the few things i liked about my old iphone is the fact that texts were clumbed via the separate conversation with each different person. The fact that the BB 9900 sepeartes text conversations by date is actually annoying me to a great extent. Anyeay to change it so its seperated by the person you having the conversation with and thats all and delete the date aspect of it? Thanks in advance guys and gals

anyone? with the amount of text i need to reference for business reasons its important to know for simplicity reasons.

MIGHT help:

Go to Messages
BlackBerry Key > Options > Message Display and Actions > Select - Group by Subject

Works fine for me. All messages from the same person appear as a single conversation. Opening that shows ALL the messages (sent to and received from) that contact.

Thabks for the replay but that's not really effecting the SMS. I want to remove the date aspect of the sorting of the messages and have them simply sorted by the particular converstaion with the individual person much like in ios or andriod.

Like I said, it seems to be working just fine for me.

Contact A - several messages sent and received on different dates.
Contact B - several messages sent and received on different dates.

When I look at my messages list, I just have ONE item each (1 for Contact A and another for Contact B).
If I click on Contact A, I get the entire conversation (Texts) displayed. i.e. All the texts exchanged with Contact A over various dates, sent and received.
Same if I click on Contact B.

I am not entirely sure but It has been this way from OS 6.

I could put up the entire Option selection that I have set up for Text messages and you could try replicating it on your device. Hope it works.

Go to Messages > BlackBerry Key > Options > Scroll to Text Messaging.
Send Text-Only Message as: Automatic
Conversation Style: Bubbles
Combine Sequential Messages: Unchecked
Show Names: Checked
Display Name: Me
Press Entry Key to Send: Checked
Auto Scale Images: Checked
Show SMS/MMS Mode Notifications: Checked

And there are a lot of other items, but I don't see how they would be relevant.

I've got mine set up the same as Raj with the exception of "return key to send" and as Raj said it will group all SMS messages under each contact as a separate conversation regardless of the date.

I couldnt find a way to remove the date bars in the native app....try downloading crunch sms, it may do the trick.
