Anyone can help me remove the Activation required message for BB 9930?

I bought the unit here in Singapore and its unlocked. However, I want to remove the Activation required message.

This may have to do with calling the Sprint and making sure that the SIM you are using can be used on a BIS plan. Because usually the activation of BBs has to do with the service provider. That's why sometimes there is an activation fee... You probably have to pay an activation fee around $20-$30 or so to register the phone with the network.

dial ##000000 and press send. then enter your phone number in the menu. once saved, the phone would reset. this should clear it. this it how it was on my unlocked storm 2 awhile ago.

im assuming you are using it on a GSM network? make sure the phone is set to global and not CDMA too.

I'm able to use the phone.. but there's an activation required message on where I should see my carrier name..

enter ##000000 and change the first line with the number you are using now..or with a local number of the country you are in.., press menu and then save, the phone will restart. This will only remove the "actication required" message and now it will appear the carrier name on the top..You are welcome

Activation required is being displayed in place of network carrier and ##000000 keep showing invalid password.

That's because sprint uses s different password than #000000 that's for Verizon
You can find the code for your phone on ebay
Just search for sprint msl code

If its from Verizon, type ##000000 and save your number in the first line. Phone will reset and your activation required message will go. If its from Sprint, you need to buy the msl code. Typically costs around $20. In case you have bought the phone from ebay, you may contact the seller and get the unlock code from them.
