    I have an unlocked 9930 unlocked from verizon. I can't use it on safaricom network in kenya. It actually worked for a month. But about 2 days ago I lost all BIS and the HRT is empty.

    9930 won't work anywhere outside US. You'll need 9900.

    9930 is mainly for US CDMA market where the rest of the world is on 3G-UMTS system which the 9900 support.

    Well it was working well, untill I changed the simcard to another carrier. It actually works on the othe networks but can't work on my carrier

    I agree with Phill, I used my 9930 in Hong Kong last month. It IS a world phone.
