I bought a 9930 the other day from craigslist and I had it unlocked so that I could use it with Tmobile. I definitely have mms in my service plan, I can receive pictures just fine but when I try to send one, the only options are "email, facebook, bluetooth". Is there something I'm missing or is it because of my provider?

Do you have a BLACKBERRY Data Plan?

Have you manually loaded the TMobile Service Books?

No I don't have a data plan but I know for a fact I have picture messaging. It worked on the blackberry I had for the past two years and worked 10 minutes before I bought this one.

It just doesn't give me the "text" option when I open my full menu and scroll to "send"

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan for MMS.

    Things change.

Is that part of OS 7 or what? I could literally send picture messages for two years up to the point in time I took my sim card out of my 9000 and into this 9930...

Have you tried menu/attach from the SMS? Technically you should have a BlackBerry data plan.

transfer the service books from the 9000 to the 9930 and it should work, quick question, do you get edge or EDGE?

i just purchased a 9900, and i do not have a BB data plan. i had the ability to mms on my 9000, but i know the service books are how i fixed it on my 9000. although i pretty much always had the data services off on the 9000, i did have that option. my plan gives mevery little data and rob you if you go over.

Sounds like you need to get the service books moved to your new device, like others have said. Without service books the option is not there.
