When I get new text messages they say:
    Subject :Notification
    *** Not Retrieved Yet ***
    DOWNLOAD NOW
    Message Expires Jun 22,2013
When I hit "Download Now" nothing happens.
This is a new problem and just started over the weekend. Anybody ever seen this?

Hi, have you rebooted your device yet?

Simplest is to just remove battery while device is fully powered on, wait 20 seconds, then replace battery to initiate reboot.
You can also simultaneously press ALT+SHIFT+DEL, but I'd recommend the battery pull in this instance.

Let me know if that fixed anything, and then I'll suggest more.

PS Careful not to post more than one thread. I asked for the duplicate to be removed:

    SORRY for the duplicate.
Tried the battery pull and now at least if you press the "DOWNLOAD NOW" the message does show-up. I don't understand what changed. Never had to "download" a text message before. Just highlight the new message, hit enter and there it was.
THANKS for your help and ANY other suggestions would be appreciated.

Next thing to try: Register Now.

Open Options app, type host on keyboard, and select Host Routing Table.
Click MENU (i.e. BB logo key), select Register Now.
Long press ESC key repeatedly until you've backed out of Options and closed it.
Wait to receive a message in inbox from your carrier and from BBRY. Could take up to 15 minutes.
After receiving those network messages, perform a battery pull.

My user's BlackBerry Bold 9930 was having a smiliar issue to this one:
    - The messaging app was not displaying any messages.
    - The inbox displayed only a blank screen with "No Messages" displayed at the top.
    - The messages were viewable when clicked via the notification bar, but once you closed out of the message it was not available for viewing in the messaging inbox.

The battery pull for 30 seconds resolved this issue. All text and email messages are able to be viewed in the messages app now.

    Thanks!
