What is the purpose of having such a great phone that you can just put a sim card in and make calls and send/rec text but you can not get the service books for. I have tried everything and nothing works. I love my blackberrys and I am said to say that I am ready to make the jump to the OTHER side with an iPhone (yuck).

You sure can get the service books for it, you just need to load them on yourself.

Why not just get a phone that was actually intended to be used on the network you're wanting to use it on? Would sure make things a lot easier for you...

Not to be rude one bit but I got 2 of these 9930's for a really good price and I didn't want to pay full price for them. Which service books do I use? Service books become outdated and new ones replace them. If you can give me a link to the service books that would work with Tmo that would be great.

Why don't you just sell the 2 9930's and buy a 9900 that will work on your network?

Also, isn't the 9900 and the 9930 the same phone basically? If so, can the service books for the 9900 work for the 9930 on Tmo?

No, the radios are different. A CDMA 9930 will never work on T-Mobile's HSPA+ (Faux G) network on the AWS 1700mhz frequency (band IV)

    For that you will need a 9900 with UMTS bands 1, 4, & 8.

    9930: UMTS: 900/ 2100 MHz
    9900: UMTS: Band I (2100);UMTS: Band IV (1700/2100)

These are hardware limitations. Service Books won't do a thing.
