Working on my wife's Bold. She has two Gmail accounts. One is an older one she no longer uses. I have deleted it from the device under the email setup wizard. However even though the icon for that account and it's entry are gone she still gets the emails under the general "messages" icon.

Ideas?

I guess my question is how can the device be receiving emails at all for an account that is not even on it?

Could they be saved emails or are they being forwarded from the gmail account to another?

Ah yes. Thank you thank you thank you. Now I remember. I had her forward all emails from her old account to her newer one a long time ago. Duh.

Your welcome. I just had the same nightmare with my gmail while trying the new 2 Step Security process. Had emails coming from everywhere.
