9900 won't charge until battery is pulled
Says the device connected won't charge it so I tried plugging it into the computer via usb port and nothing no boot up on desktop software, also tried using different charges on different wall outlets 3 chargers total and just the plug symbol pops up. It charges just fine if I pull the battery but I don't want to keep doing that everytime it gets annoying. Any way to fix this? Anyone else encounter this problem with the 9900? I have a unlocked 9900 from rogers being used on Fido bought it last year in July or August can't remember.

Had this issue before, and for me it was the app "Blink". For whatever reason, it was not allowing my 9900 to charge without pulling the battery first. My solution to this was uninstalling Blink and then downloading "Advance OS and LED" which has the same functions (and more!)
If however you Don't have "Blink" installed then I have no clue

this was a known issue in the 7.0 builds, not sure about earlier 7.1 builds.
Try updating to 7.1.402

Yes the app Blink caused this issue for many (including myself). Get rid of it if you're using it and get Advance OS and LED, which is a much better app that is free.
Else, update to the latest 7.1 version. - 04-22-2012, 08:36 AM #7
I was having the same problem with my work-issued 9930. In fact, out of 30 phones that we purchased there were 5 that had this very problem and were sent back.
I switched out my phone after having that problem and then my new phone started doing it again. I tried charging it on four different chargers including in my car...wouldn't charge. I finally did a alt-shift-del twice and then a battery pull and then it finally started charging again. That was two days ago so I have my finger's crossed.
Good luck.

It's a software issue.

Thanks. Now if they would have put a decent camera in the 9930...but that's a diff topic.
