Have bought a second hand 9900 as a second phone. I need it for the Wifi calling because where I spend my weekends has a crap signal on EE.

The phone has been wiped clean and then the OS upgraded to 7.1.0 (2930).

    I can enable Wifi calling.

The issue is that it doesn't always connect. Even though I am connected to the Wifi and can use data without an issue.

I intermittently get the symbol appear for Wifi calling. It doesn't matter how close I am to the router.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this? The phone is used for business but I can't always get my calls.

im pretty sure you need a cellular connection as well? if you dont have both i dont believe it will connect. try simply restarting your router. Wifi can be a troublesome..

It works in the UK as well.

I have a 9300 as well and this connects every time without fail. It has nothing to do with the router. This is just as intermittent at home on my own router as well.

It doesn't require a mobile connection as well! What would be the point in that? If it had a mobile connection why would it need Wifi calling? Again, the 9300 connects to Wifi calling even if I turn off mobile network.

ive googled about it and i think it only works on select countries. I searched for this app called mobilevoip that can make wifi call on locally but it needs credits, like you have to pay for it! so no way. I think its depends on what carrier you have.

Run the Wi-fi diagnostics test in Blackberry Device Analyser (install from the options screen, Alt - BBDA) & see what the error code of the UMA connection section says.
