    Hey everyone
my bb bold 9900 was fine from 1 week
suddenly one day when i woke up it was completely off
and i would not turn on
i tried pressing the combination and sometimes it boots normally
and sometimes it boots and shows an X on the battery
    so i replaced the battery
and the problem is the same
tried wiping and using different os and also the same thing
can anyone help me to figure out the problem?

An app might be causing this issue. I had this problem, wiped by BB installed OS and it fixed the issue.

Do not restore the apps, reinstall them one by one.

    What OS are you using?

Some of the earlier 7.0.0 builds have a known problem where the phone does not charge even though you put it on the charger.

    I recommend upgrading to 7.1.0.523

am currently on 523 .. and yes sometimes it doesn't charge
its not an app problem apparently , since i tried wiping several times and installed different os

Have you tried formatting your memory card?

Are you using a 3rd party usb cable?

Your phone doesn't charge sometimes? Because that isn't normal and the 7.0 charging failure no longer exists on OS 7.1.

If it is still not charging correctly get a heavy duty charger I would recommend the one the PlayBook comes with. Wife had same issue with her BB style I got her the better charger and no more problems. Hope this helps.

No sd card, it will be interesting to know how much of your phone's memory is being used by your mp3s, videos, pics, messages and emails etc.

Low phone memory can cause many issues.

Guys , i think its a hardware issue
from the back of the phone
those things that hold the battery to the phone .. i pressed them with a screwdriver
and from 30 mins it didnt turn off
am gonna report back if something happens
and "f0xx386" i just have 2 Gega bytes used from the memory

Sounds like a loose battery, same issue on the 9300. Users of the 9300 used a business card to keep the battery in place and went on using it with no further problems.
If your phone is under warranty return for new one try something like 9300 users did.
