    I noticed on my 9900 AT+T if I am in an area with a weak signal , EDGE or 4 G 1 or 2 bars ,if I turn the phone upside down verticaly and hold it near the headphone and charging ports with 2 fingers in like a pinch , that the signal strength increases. Try that and please post your results
