I have a bold 9900 and it won t read any of my sim cards and i no it is unlocked it just says insert sim card and sos in the corner also if i turn off wifi the phone will turn off straight away i did a wipe with jl commander and reinstalled software still the same also checked pins some one plz help me im distaught lol

Sounds like the SIM card itself is faulty - does it work in other phones?

I have this problem too... been going on and off for a while. SIM card works in older blackberry. Still no real solution... temporary solution was to put some sticky note paper on the back of the sim card to possibly get better contact between the pins and the SIM card, but still doesn't work now.
