I have a Bold 9900 that I used to have on European carriers.

Here in Australia I can't get a 3g connection at all.
It's probably lack of support of the 3g bands.

Is it possible to fix this with another OS or is this hardware related?

I will post the phone version soon.
    Thanks

    Yeah I know.
It's a backup phone only but I still like it.

I got a z10 and I'll go for the Passport soon.

    Passport is awesome.
I moved from z10 to passport.

Regarding old bold: if bands are not supported, all you can do is to replace all internals (main board) to ones which support australian 3G bands

    Should be very expensive.
