Default 9900 Help confirming build quality

    Hey Everyone!

After getting my 9900 replaced due to menu pad falling off I have been a bit paranoid about these phones.
Menu Pad - Call, Menu, Scroll Pad, Back, Hang up Bar thing under the screen.

Now have my new replacement and there is a tiny hairline gap between the screen and the bar.
Was told by RIM Customer Support this is how it should be but just hoping someone can confirm this or do I need to get another replacement from the store?

They said it should feel a little bit raised only a fraction but this is because you press this area(my old one was VERY raised)

Added some pics can anyone tell me if this is a good or bad 9900 lol
Just need someone to put my mind at ease or let me know if I need to get it changed again.

    Thanks

yes as theyre two diifferent parts lining up, the keyboard is removable (for repairs etc) without being attached to the screen making it cheaper to replace

It's much more obvious on your white than my black, but yes as the previous poster said, completely normal.

    Didn't mean the keyboard
Sorry I am terrible at explaining things.
I meant the area below the screen before the menu bar, As you can see there is a hairline gap between the screen and trackpad/menu keys.
Is that normal or a fault?

    Ahhh I didn't know that

So the Menu. call etc keys are part of the keyboard?

So the Gap between bottom of screen to the Call, Menu etc area is normal?

yes completely normal like BigBadWulf put into better words: the black just makes it hardly noticeable compared to white

they are part of the keyboard and line up against the bottom of the screen

    Thanks

I was just worried since my other 9900 the Pad(no idea what its real name is it's where the call keys are etc) was practically falling off and when I was told there should be no gap at all it got me a bit worried that my new one had a fault too.

:s practically falling off? what did you do to it lol, dont worry every single blackberry 9900 has a line along it as its built in two front parts not one long front one like an iphone for example just google white blackberry bold 9900 and you should see lots of others looking identical to yours

I have looked at the official picture here
    http://images-shop.vodafone.co.uk/es..._multiview.jpg

And that looks exactly like mine.

But when I look at peoples personal pictures they look like theres no gap at all but I have a feeling thats due to flash as when I was taking pictures of mine the line vanished due to flash on camera.
