    Please help. My 9900 is dead, completely DEAD. Meaning, no red light comes on when you pull the battery. Nothing on the screen when you charge it, NOTHING. It is utterly dead. Even when I plug it into the computer, the computer wont recognize it because it can't make the connection.

    Please, someone, anyone...help.

    Everything I have been able to find says that your battery has most likely failed or is completely dead. If you can get the battery swapped out with someone who has the same phone you can easily tell that way. Mind you the battery must have more than a 10% charge before hand otherwise it won't work.

    it's not the battery, swapped it out with my brothers battery and the phone will still not turn on.

    First try swapping the SIM card with your brother or someone and see what happens, if not try the steps below.

    Put your BB onto a known-good wall charger (not USB via PC).
    With the BB powered up (at least as much as it can be), remove the battery.
    Wait 5 minutes, with the BB still on the charger.
    Still with the BB on the charger, insert the battery.
    Hopefully that will allow it to boot up correctly.

    I got the same problem with my Bold 9900 it wend dead and red blinking LED. I searched in YouTube and found some remedy but it didn't worked. I even bought a new JM1 battery thought that it's a battery problem but according the service center it's the Charging IC problem. Hopeless.

    I had the same thing happen to my 9900 about a month and half ago....

    I used it as a good excuse to get a Z10!

    I got 9790 after 9900, till I pre- ordered Z10. I hope there is still a way to fix it.

    i had the same problem do a search how to unbrick 9900 on crackberry it tells you how to restore worked for me only problem is Wi Fi won't work anymore

    In my opinion take out the battery. Put the USB cable and connect to a pc with the Blackberry Desktop Software. Then when the prompt screen comes on (referring to the connection) click on repair. This will reset the blackberry to factory settings. After that at some point it will indicate that it can't connect and the loading process will pause. When that happens add the battery and let the loading process complete. Good luck! reply to me and will answer more questions should you have any!
