Hi, I don't know if my 9900 is acting weird or the battery. I have had build .794 from the day it came out. Just recently...I would charge my phone to full, turn it on the next morning. Not leaving it charging overnight. Turn it on and receive the overnight emails. (maybe 5-10) I would see the battery has gone down. So basicly....the receipt of 5-10 emails (only words) is decreasing my battery??

There is still a lot going on with a BB when it is powered off, hence the battery drain.

No. Disable the alarm maybe.
a 3%~ discharge overnight while turned off is sort of normal.
You also didn't specify how much your battery went down.

Unfortunately not. Powering off only really shuts down the screen and radios... similar to standby mode on a PC. The only true way to power off is to remove the battery.

do you have any apps running in the background that you didn't actually close? i.e. Facebook or Twitter? When left open, they can use power running.

Make sure you've closed things that run in the background like web pages, WhatsApp etc

Thank you, everyone that replied. I have no open apps when I shut the phone down. The battery indicator shows a slight amount of use when the phone is left off over night. This is from a full charge.

Well.. If you do notice the battery meter changing it dropped below 91.. So it isn't normal. Reloading your OS would be the next step. Good luck mate!
