I go to ww.google.com in Browser. OK.
I type in the Google search field 'Kate Upten'. I recognize a typo. OK.
I hit DEL and I am unable to backspace out the 'en'. Not OK.

Is there a new way to backspace delete characters from a search field?

This happens with every search field on web sites that Browser displays...

I'm on 9900/7.1.0.391 and I can delete to the left, but alt-del does not work. Is that what you're describing? Also, why not search from "GoTo" browser start page?

Thanks for the reply. Backspace delete to the left does not appear to be working on my device. It is not search functions, per se that I am specifically concerned about. The inability to backspace delete (delete to the left) turns what were once simple tasks (e.g. editing login, or form fields) into a major annoyances.

UPDATE: Upgraded to 7.1.0.437 and all is well.
