Has anyone had a chance to compare the 7.1 Leak and .590 Official for the 9900?

Battery life I'm most concerned with.

    I'm dl-ing the .590 official now.

Far too early to tell, in general an OS needs a couple of days to settle in before you can get a true feeling for how it is running.

If it helps at all, the best OS I have found to date is the .585 Hybrid with the .540 radio file. Giving me great battery life, around 2-3% average dishcarge with light to medium use.Idles at under 1% at weekends.

I'd go with official .590, saw some posts that people on 7.1 had problems being able to download apps as they weren't recognized to be available for that device.

7.1 has fixed teh SMS capacity error which existed on 7.0. I"m not sure if 585 or 590 fixed it.

I've been running 7.1 since it leaked. Love the Hotspot, but over the last few days my device has seemed more laggy than usual, and I have not installed anything new. Tempted to roll back to .590 and wait on a late build of 7.1

    .74 is an ancient build.

I have just done the move from .590 to 7.1.0.190 leak in the last hour so I can't tell you much, but what I can tell you is that I think it has fixed the 99+ to 92% battery drop glitch, which will make me very happy. After I finished the install my battery was on 92% and as I charge I can see the reading go through 94% and 95% which makes me think it's fixed. Might be wrong about that but I will soon know.

Personally I like the 7.1.0.190, everything works great for me. Pretty fast and stable so far, Just don't shrink too much, it may cause some errors.

I'm pretty sure the glitch is fixed as, having charged to 100%, my battery life has dropped in % points rather than suddenly dropping to 92%. Hooray.

I'm running the 7.1.0.190 leak as of today (installed last night). I can confirm that the battery bug is gone. Drain rate so far today is 3%/hour, and I'd expect that to improve a bit over the next couple of days. But that's comparable to what I was getting on 7.0.0.590 and other 7.0 builds, when out and about.

Anyone else with AT&T notice that NFC is now enabled?? Pretty cool. My only question is this: I have an NFC card to get into the gate of my apartment complex, is there any way to make my phone act like that card? I would rather use my phone than the card to get myself into my apartment.

These numbers are consistent with what I'm seeing from my device too. Even super heavy use (when I was trying to drain the battery) lead only to a drain rate of 4.5% (which I'm okay with).

Plus the device is just flying right now - the only lags occurred when I was installing apps.

Little bit over 6 hours since I have been using this baby.
I upgraded from .590 which has been a fantastic experience.
I am happy with 7.1 leak. It is faster compared to .590, especially the browser.
7.1 brings the new feature 'Mobile Hotspot' and 'Wifi Calling'.
7.1 doesn't have the %8 battery drop glitch, .590 does have it and it is annoying.
The only lag I found with the 7.1 is sometimes scrolling feels a bit slower than .590 but it is still fine, no big deal.
The battery life on 7.1 has been good so far. After installation I charged it to %100. And it stayed at %100 for 2.5 hours and I was scared that it was going to drop to %92 directly, but it didn't! It dropped to %99 after 2.5 hours! That was awesome, and the phone wasn't idle. I was using it with moderate usage. Some browsing, bbm and twitter. Later I installed BBM 6.1 and gave it a reboot (no battery pull). The battery went crazy, up to %27. I did some battery pulls, 3 or 4. And it was back to normal. Now, with moderate usage I get %3.5 which is okay for the first day.

To sum up, I recommend this OS if you are really going to use Mobile Hotspot or Wifi Calling. In addition the battery glitch (%8 drop) on .590 is really annoying.

    Hope this helps

I am running the 7.1.0.190 and I am really loving how stable this one seems. I work in a warehouse area and I hardly have reception, going in and out so I know its a strain but I took my phone off the charger at 10am and went till 8pm till my battery was in the red and I did 2 30 min calls.

I would just try it out and then make a final decision. Each person's answer will always vary as usage is different on a person to person, user to user, carrier to carrier situation. If you like it, use it. If you don't, downgrade.
