I will look for a factory unlocked/unbranded Bold 9900 in eBay to use with AT&T's network in the US. What are the right 3G and 4G bands for AT&T? Also, where can I find the model number of Bold 9900 with those bands?
Will the UK version works?
Other than ebay, is there any other place to look for the unbranded version?
AT&T Announced today 4G 9900. Is there a slight possibility they might be using a different band for frequency for 4G instead of what they currently use for 3G?
For crackberry members who are interested to buy Rogers 9900. Just wondering..if this will all workout in the long run.

No. AT&T doesn't have a 4G network, they have a 3.75G network that got overhauled to HSPA+, which is 3G for all intents and purposes. Same ol' frequency and bands, just support for 14.4 Mb/s
i too am interested in the OPs question - is there a source for factory unbranded blackberry devices? I know that the devices float around, just don't know where to get one.
i would def pay a little more for a factory unbranded device rather than unlocking a rogers device (depending on how much more )
Thanks everyone. Most eBay sellers do not advertise the band numbers (they have no idea about bands 1, 2, 5 and 6 etc). What is the model number for NAM 3G band Bold 9900? Anyone know?

Per the FCC filing the model number for the 9900 that supports 1,4,& 8 (T-Mobile) is RDU72CW. The 9900 that supports 1,2,5,& 6 hasn't been through the FCC yet, at least I don't think so but I would think it's safe to assume that the model number for that one will differ by one letter and/or number. Same goes for the 9930.
Thanks for your response. Is there any out there that I can buy to do this?

Yes, it's called a chipset that supports the bands on the hardware end and a radio stack to support the bands on the software end.
Truth be told, other than a Torch supporting 1,4,8 no there is no way you could feasibly add bands to the phone without essentially building your own mutant torch.
