Well, if you're only gonna use official carrier software, they'll get around to it in due time, and they really don't care how many exclamation points you use in a post. I have a Style and just saw the first OS change since April or so. Tour was months without an update, and 9650 owners are waiting for one, also at the last post I saw.

A hybrid or other carrier update is within your power. If you blow it, folks will help you get it corrected. Otherwise, the patience train is waiting at the station.

You can upgrade to VZW's .374... just have to remember to delete the Vendor file. With everything thats been going on I'm sure an update will be upon us soon.

Sprint just rolled out 6.0.0.706 for the 9330, 9650, and 9670 in the last week. I don't think it's unreasonable to think a higher 7.0 build could launch soon.

I think carriers are testing 7.1 builds now though, so they could be waiting on that. The transition from 7.0 to 7.1 happened around .540 which has released on some carriers officially awhile ago. So maybe we'll see a 7.1 build instead?

I see 9900 getting an official 7.1 before the 9930's.

And on the subject of updates, the BlackBerry Bold Touch should be getting the Wi-Fi Hotspot added in an upcoming OS update, which is (possibly) due in the near future, as we are approaching the end of Q4 and that is the presumed time-frame for it to be available. http://forums.crackberry.com/news-ru...ces-q4-649545/

Like anything, we know it may happen soon, but release schedules don't always meet expectations.

That could very well happen soon. They released the Bold 9930 in Sept. 3 months later and they're still on the same original .241 build.

9930, 9850, and 9350 from them are bound to get an update soon and I'd imagine they will be simultaneous in the same way the 9330, 9650, and 9670 just received them adjacent to one another.

This Hybrid is for the 9900 only and must have the base .540 installed.

Currently there are no hybrids for the 9930, so we are still $hit out of luck unfortunately.

I was only able to find 374v3 by searching on it. It didn't show anywhere in the forums or blogs, which means I'm hesitant to run it until there's a good discussion thread about it.

Its been my experience with Sprint(over several years),in most updates, they happen approx every 6 months. There are exceptions to their rule, but rare.

I had trouble finding it as well. You need to go into downloads/OS7 and it is there as well as several other hybrid options for the 9930.

So how are these hybrids? What's different in these .374 v1, v2, v3?

And what's different from the official .374?

That would be a fairly accurate statement. The only time I've seen close updates was when the first one they released has had major bugs/problems.
