White Line!!!
Hi there...
My 1 month old BB 9790's screen out of the blue just started to flicker like an old television and just went crazy and after a hard reset it seemed ok. After a few days when it was being charged via usb connected to my laptop a thin white line appeared on the edge of the lcd right hand side. Now another thin white line has formed just besides the old line (this also seemed to happen while charging). I have read other threads but mine never fell or anything like that. Something has happend while charging or could it have anything to do with a screeen protector that is just a little short just exactly where the 2 white lines have formed.
Worst is my phone is not under warranty!
Im sure its not cracked or so. I have upgraded to OS 7.1. Is there any other option other than replacing the screen altogether?
Thanks in advance. - 05-19-2012, 09:26 AM #2
why is your phone not under warranty?
the 9790 has been out for less than a year.
If not, no. Your only option will be to replace the screen.
you could take it apart to ensure all the connections are secure, and just pray it isnt a motherboard issue ( i have seen mb issues put lines on screens)BIG UP BIG UP, ITS A STICK UP STICK UP
I may be blunt, but it was the only way you would understand! @Fubaz

Even I feel it could be a MB issue however I have given it for repair and the technician claims its cracked, I did explain it to him its not possible but now I have agreed to pay for a new LCD!
125$ lets hope it works well this time!
