So ive done the following:

Security Wiped the handset (twice) before following these steps:

1. Downloaded 7.1 software
2. Installed on PC
3. Deleted BOTH vendor.xml files using the removal tool
4. Launched Apploader and gone through the screens
5. Received message "the device has installed successfully"

One problem - it didnt update. The software on the device is still 7.0

Any ideas?

I ended up taking the BB of the user, gave him a new device and everything upgraded fine.

Just weird why the initial device didnt wanna update.
