hello everyone

i have been facing this problem with touch screen in my 9790... when ever i try to open apps it just automatically goes into selection mode and and acts crazy like starting apps until i lock it and clean it with a soft material then it reverts back to normal and again after some time.

i have a screen protector on it...

please help

I've never had this problem before, I would try re-installing the OS on the phone, its the easiest thing to start with.

hey cevag , iam so sorry i mistakenly wrote it touch pad actually it is touch screen not the pad ***** me ..

well the problem is like whenever iam browsing thur FB or bbm the touch screen goes into selection screen and keeps repeating the same thing unless i lock the phone and wipe the screen with my shirt then it work fine and after sometime again the same thing :l

I had exact same issue. There are other threads addressing the same.

I got very irritated and i ended up disabling my touch screen. Now finally i can use my 9790 peacefully.

If you need to know how to do it, check the disassembly video for 9790 on youtube and get back here after you get the tools, I'll help on the same

hmm so its the hardware issues then, i still have it under warranty. i really dont want to disable my touch screen because i am too lazy to use trackpad first thing in morning :P is there any other solutions you can provide me ill appreciate it a lot
