I have a sim free Bold, in which is the Orange sim from my Orange Curve 9360. Desktop Manager (Mac) is not giving me the option to upgrade the OS on the Bold. If I download an OS from Orange, independently, would I need to remove the Vendor.exe or would the OS play nicely with the Orange sim on the Bold?

New to Blackberry but trying... thanks for any advice

It doesn't matter which SIM you have in an unbranded phone, you won't get automatic OS updates through Desktop Manager for it. If you want to update it, you'll have to do it manually, using a PC and not a Mac.

You will need to delete the vendor.xml files, and whatever OS you choose will work fine with your Orange SIM.
