    Default Sideloading

    Hi
I am new to BB and would like to know if you can sideload a torrent downloader on a 9790 like you do with a PB.
    Thanx.

You can't sideload apps from other OSes on BB phones. You can, however, install BB apps from anywhere "in the wild"--they don't have to necessarily come from BB App World.

    Thanx Raino
Could you perhaps point me to software to install on my 9790 to download my torrent links and maybe how to install those software.
    Thank you.

I don't use torrents much, so I can't help you with installation and beyond. Hopefully it's a standard install.

Here are a couple clients to get you started. I found them using the keyword torrent in Crackberry search. If these two don't work, try searching for more.

Haha yeah! I go to that link and it redirects me to the Google for Android site. Are the Google apps only available for Android now??

    Looks like you're right
Luckily I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago, but it's only available for Android now.

Great!! A day late! Just my luck. Anyone know a work around at this time? I can't believe I'm stuck without Google Maps now.

    Google Maps 4.3.5... Google Maps.zip

Unzip to your sd card and click on GMaps.jad to install.

Quick question. Does it have to be done via SD card or can I transfer it straight to the BB by USB? If so, which folder do I place it in? Or does it not matter? Thanks!

Unzip the file on your PC, transfer the whole folder via USB to your SD card, open the folder from your phone and click on the GMaps.jad file to install the app. Once installed, you can delete the folder from your card.
