OS 7.1 Support for 9790
Why is it so hard to find a Official OS 7.1 update? I'm in South Africa here we have 5 different carriers and all of them has 7.1 updates for all OS7 devices except the 9790. Saw one Official release from Telenor Norway but is it save to install a OS from a carrier not in your country? even if you delete the vendor file?

True that! its like the phone doesn't even exist...and from what I've seen from friends its a Great phone
I'm upgrading next week and wanted to get the 9790 but due to lack of support for this device I may be forced to go for the 9900
. I prefer the 9790 due to it's more compact size

It is a great phone. I wish it was more widely available, that would probably help things in the way of OS support.

I also loaded it now
been using it for 2 weeks now and runs super smooth, and get some extra juice out of my battery thanks to the battery savings mode

I'm from sunny S.A. too and updated my 9900 and 9810 with OS's from carriers all over the globe with no ill effects. you can's wait for Vodacom to release their official FW, the latest update for my 9900 on vodacom was .342. I went through all the updates and eventually went one down to .428
