Yes... and your point is?

It doesn't matter who the carrier is, anyone with a 9790 can use it, and RIM still compiled it

To be honest I haven't noticed any difference between .442 .494 and this one. Any improvements and/or bug fixes must have been minor ones.

For me the battery life is better on .528. The battery temperature too is cooler than .496. However the Wi-Fi weak signal stays the same though. I'd really love to see a fix on that one.

just bought the 9790 right now, going to unbox it in about 7 hours from now right after i finish work! should I download and install this os on it immediately? anyone installed it? is it better than the one the phone comes with, IF YES IN WHAT WAYS? thanks..

How can anyone answer that if we don't know which OS your phone comes with?

Try it for yourself and you tell us if it was better.

Same here... Vodafone UK have just officially released .528 for the 9790 BlackBerry - Software Downloads 2 and it's not available anywhere here in the UK, or even showing as coming soon on Vodafone.

STC gonna announce it with in a month or so

here is a link with an stc insider who got the chance to take some pictures of it and review it (and it has the. 528 build out of the box)

No probs here.

Did you upgrade App World? The version in this OS is an old one. Go to mobile.blackberry.com/ and download the latest version, then try again.

SOLVED. Finally I downgrade to my own carrier .496 XL Indonesia and now working.
Seems .528 firmware not fully compatible to my 9790.

i've just downloaded the .528 but when i want to upgrade it via App Loader (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\App Loader) by deleting the vendor, it comes a sentence (see attachments) ..

i thought that this condition happen only when you have lower version from your current OS version but why when i do it on .528 (previous .496 original OS from the phone) it comes out like that ?

does anyone can help me on this ? thanks a lot!

Hi all, i just got my blackberry 9790 yesterday, but it has kept on rebooting after a few minutes and i think it rebooted more than 30 times already since i had yesterday. Anyone also had the same problem? mine is on .473. I hope with the new software update this will be fixed

this build as all of os7 builds ignores the "show my number" setting. I am disabling it , still shows.
Also when I call it first shows up the call log and then the calling itself.

hadd this issue also seems like there is a copy of the vendor file in app data not sure where don't remember

Upgrade your OS to either .528 or the latest .557. Definitely something wrong with your device if it keeps rebooting like that. If upgrading OS doesn't fix that you need to return it.
