Can I install this on any 9790 from any part of the world that is on 7.0?
I'm on 7.0 Bundle 2356 (v 7.0.0.557, Platform 9.16.0.67) and when I use the updater above it says no software update found?Last edited by kevindd992002; 03-28-2012 at 06:02 PM.

Yes you can, you might have to delete the Vendor.xml in two places... I just don't remember where exactly so you might have to search it in the forum
Edit:
1. \Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
2. \Userdata(or Documents and settings)\(username)\Application Data\Research In Motion\Blackberry\Loader XMLLast edited by toolonglyf; 03-28-2012 at 06:59 PM. Reason: remember

Thanks for that. Why do you need to do that though?

because that file contains your service provider's information. So desktop manager would see that the update you are trying to install is not for the same company. I would think RIM actually doesn't care about that, but it would mostly be for the providers that paid to test and approve a software update and would prefer you don't get another one that might have other bugs that they'll have to support if you call them.

Hey guys, my carrier is Redington (india). Is it okay if I upgrade to this OS by deleting the both vendor.xml files? I'm a newbie to bb and my bold 9790 is just a month old. Will it cause any network problems? Or void the warranty. Plz help

Just got this installed in Dubai, So far all is running smooth, all languages are available, device analyzer is included, i did not see the hotspot function (maybe it needs activation), there are a few other tweaks done around but i do hope that the battery life is improves. Will keep you guys posted.

So I just got my 9790 yesterday morning and all excited I updated to .247 and before I could even explore everything .336 drops. I am on T-mobile US and had to manually add the VVM icon. I still cant figure out if this version has wifi calling or if it is a matter of waiting for T-mobile to release the service book or it. Pandora still does not work. Any insight into the missing wifi calling would be very helpful
