Sort of feel the same way as the OP. I upgraded from the 9780 to the much more capable 9790 a few months ago and I was really looking forward to some cool 7.0/7.1 apps and themes that were out of reach on a slower 6.0 device.

Got to admit I am slightly disappointed to find a lot of the free and even the paid apps are buggy and many of the themes are utterly useless!

Thank the heavens I am not an APP junkie and I also got an iPad and iPhone 4S that I can retreat to for fun stuff.

But I feel sorry for the solo Berry owners that have no other devices to escape to for a casual game of Angry Birds or a proper media experience.
