Microphone stopped working

Hey people,

Last week the microphone and the speaker of my 9790 stopped working.
When the phone connects i can't hear anybody nor they can hear me.
When i put the phone on speaker, I can hear the caller en they can hear me.

I thought it was a software flaw, so i wiped my device (twice) and did a clean install of 7.1 (the leaked 402, which worked fine since about two months).
Still no luck

Maybe the solution lies within the community

otherwise it'll be a warreny issue

By the way, the phone didn't got wet and i didnt drop it.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me!

try inserting your earphones with built in mic and while on a call change the mode to handheld from speaker it helped in my case

I mean: did it happened again, or this was a "definitive" cure for the illness?

I exerienced it one more time, but that was after i droped the phone.
Solution worked again, so its pretty much a solid one

It happened to my phone too. Just stop downloading unnecessary apps. keep them to the minimum. And take out the battery. Re-insert and start. Immediately thereafter just re-boot it. It becomes normal. It solved my issue and am not facing any problems from then onwards.
