I have a Blackberry Bold (9790) and I need to know if it is on a BIS or BEZ network.

I need to establish this by manually looking through my phone though?

Is it a personal or company phone?
If it's your own personal phone, and you have an active BlackBerry data plan, then it's on BIS.
If it's a company provided phone, then it's likely on BES.

Click on the bar at the top of the phone and scroll down to Service Status. This will tell you if you are connected to BIS or BES.

I actually do not have a SIM card in the phone therefore I am unable to do as you suggest.
