Default Gmail from BES stopped syncing to my 9790 after phone nuked

OK so my 9790 was nuked when I tried to upgrade from 7 to 7.1 (using DM and an official Rogers upgrade). My phone is an enterprise (BES) phone; my company switched to Gmail from Exchange but the syncing between my Email, Calendar and Contacts was going fine until the phone had to be restored yesterday. (Thank you, CrackBerry, for the perfect instructions on how to restore a nuked device!).

With my IT department, we re-activated the phone on BES and contacts and calendars are syncing fine. However, email that I get in Gmail on my PC are not being synced down to my 9790. We've tried reactivating 3 times, battery pulls, etc. but doesn't sync.

So it leads me to believe there is some setting for EMAIL sync only that is wrong, otherwise why wouldn't calendar and contact syncs be broken as well.

I looked through the Email folders (which all appear on the BB, but they are empty) on the device thinking perhaps the emails are syncing to the wrong folder, but that was not the case.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Never was an issue with Exchange, and wasn't an issue before the phone had to be restored.

I should mention that even though our email arrives in Gmail, it is corporate (not @gmail.com addresses).

    Thank you.

    Default

Problem solved. There's an Email setting in Options called ""If no filters apply, send email to handheld". That was unchecked, so I checked it and now emails are beginning to arrive as expected. Thought I'd post this reply just in case anyone else needs to know.
