I tried searching for this, but I couldn't find anything. I hope you can help me.

A couple days ago I noticed my 9790 was keeping the home keys glowing while everything else was dimmed. I thought this was a cool function for night use, but it hasn't happened since. Just the one day.

The only recent app I downloaded was advance OS, but there's no home key light function.


Does anyone know if/how you can adjust your home keys to stay lit when the phone is dimmed?

They stay a tiny bit lit when you're on a call, that's the only time I noticed it.

Hmm, I guess I'm the only one then.

I wonder if there's a way to modify that?

What do you mean by "everything else was dimmed" - if you cover the led light in broad daylight the keyboard will illuminate.
I don't use the automatic dimming function but if I were to the screen would be bright in strong ambient light and go dimmer as the ambient light gets less. At some point as the ambient light reduces the keypad lights will illuminate.

this happend to me once, but im guessing it was an error, after i make a call the keys just stay on, but after a reset they were back to normal...

It happens constantly with my girlfriend's 9790. I think it's a glitch in the OS. If you haven't already, try updating to the latest.

I meant that only the main 4 keys and trackpad were illuminated (like what happens during shut down). After the update, it hasn't happened.

I kinda liked it. Would be a battery drain, though.
