Future Proof or Doomed?
Dear All,
While the BlackBerry 10 OS & Devices look surprisingly good and promising, I am itching to find out if new BB devices (7.0+) will be supported for an upgrade.
I admonish that RIM is making a huge step forward however me among other have paid a premium price for our new handsets…I would hate to see the Bold lines at least getting ignored since from my point of view those devices have the necessary hardware to run any state of the art OS..i mean come on 1.2ghz + 768MB Ram is A LOT for a mobile device.
I know it is still too early to expect such info, I will be buying a BB10 device anw and the timing is great!

Future Proof or Doomed?
Bb10 is totaly different architecture. RIm will continue to support bb runing os 7.x. No hardware today are future proof. You gotta go forward.
Maybe and hopefully they will give us qnx lite in a form of os8. Just like they release os6 for 9700

Does not need to be doom.... RIM has already confirmed that BB10 will not run on OS7 devices... If RIM were to offer a real attractive upgrade path it would satisfy OS 6 and 7 users... at the same time beef up sales on the inital launch......
