Could use a pointer about the 9780
I was looking at Craigslist this weekend and stumbled onto an add for a "new in the box" Bold 9780.....
...At $40.00 I said what the **** and bought it.
I inspected the phone and just as the seller advertised it was new, plastic and information stickers were still on the phone...
....She had bought it then her boyfriend bought her another phone so she never even activated it.
I'm with Sprint ( CDMA ) and this new Bold is branded T Mobile ( GSM ).....
...Is there any no contract plan that would provide cell, text and BBM that anyone knows of?
...I figured it could work with either TMobile or AT&T.
In any event because it has a SIM card I figured I could use it if I ever go out of the country.
Thanks for any information anyone might have.A reluctant iPhone 4s user who would STILL be a Blackberry user had RIM not messed it's own bed by putting a "Fisher Price Camera" in it's "flagship" Blackberry Bold 9930. - 01-03-2013, 11:28 AM #2

There are carriers in Canada that use GSM on no contract. You could always join the old draft dodgers? Heh.
In any case you'd probably want to unlock the phone first. Good find.

TMobile has month-by-month (pre-paid) BlackBerry Data Plans in the US.
Monthly 4G Prepaid Plans | Compare Prepaid Data Plans | T-Mobile
AT&T does not.
