Bold 9790 Battery life vs Curve 9360?
I've got a choice of upgrading to either of these two phones, I don't really care about anything else except battery life, occasionally use twitter/facebook and bbm a fair amount, which phone holds a better battery?

I had the Curve 9360 the battery life was just awful even after i upgraded the OS to 7.1.0.336 i saw just a bit of improvement... i am a new owner of the Bold 9790 so far after i full charge overnight i have seen a difference yes the 9790 battery is slightly larger in mah
But i had a 1500 extended life battery in my Curve and was still only getting maybe 2 full days i`m not a big user myself
Twitter Facebook MSN email a few text messages and the odd phone call per day that was it...
So 9790 will am sure be a better way to go...

The 9790's battery life may be better than the 9360's, but honestly that's not saying a lot. My 9790 lasts less than half as long as my previous 9780 for my usage pattern, even after upgrading to OS 7.1 and putting the screen brightness down to 20%. If you are often surfing the net or using Facebook, don't expect great battery life. It's the screen backlight which really kills the battery - talking on the phone and just on standby, it's fine.

non-technically speaking, before this i am using Curve 9360.. only 3-4 months..
the battery is reeeeaaallly bad even i change it into many version of OS! trust me.. u will regret if u buying this model..
after that, i changed to Bold 9790 (OS 7.1.0.402).. and it's better than curve 9360.. my battery can hold one whole day with moderate internet usage (facebook, twitter, whatsapp, BBM, Browser/sometimes browsing 5-10 pages daily)

My 9360 lasts longer than my 9790. Possibly due to the 9790 having a touchscreen.
I prefer the 9360. Battery-wise anyways.Cuius testiculos habes, habeas cardia et cerebellum...

IMO 9790 all the way. Thinking of it as a worthy upgrade. If you're going to use your phone for social networking then it's going to be a good choice to go to the 9790. You get a bigger battery and better hardware. The 9360's battery isn't as good. I have friends whose 9360s died in the middle of the day with heavy use. 7.1 was installed in their 9360s and the Bold seems like the obvious choice with the JM-1. Hope I helped!
BlackBerry is my phone of choice. No other phone gives me the same experience that BlackBerry does . - 04-04-2013, 10:04 PM #11
I found the 9360 to be somewhat low but useable.
Then again, I used to own a Storm so I learned to be veeeery careful as to what is running in the background.Blackberry 10 > Windows Phone 7/8 > Blackberry 7 > iOS > Android > Symbian > WebOS > Meego
