blackberry freezing

hi guys

I have been reading this forum for months, and only decided to register now, well my issue started like a month after i bought the phone but it will only show the loading clock like for 2secs and then it goes away. now its does it frequently and stays the for long, it even freezes without showing the hour clock, i have disabled then enable compression, uninstalled all the apps, redid the software, deleted the other contries languages, the only apps i have is, the standard ones and mxit and whatsapp installed now....can you guys please give me advise, the freezing issue started becoming like this about a month after i installed 7.1 bundle 2039 (v7.1.0.714, Platform (9.16.0.158)...thanks in advance guys

If the issue still continues even after doing all that then i would suggest downloading an app that i currently use when my phone lags. An app called Quickpull, if your phone slows down again the app will do a full restart plus clearing up some memory for you. Which will help to maximize the phone performance. Hope this helps...

ok i will try that now, and another thing i notice is when it gets so slow and do the clock thing alot, is when my app memory goes down to under 100mb....i dont know where it goes to though, and i also notice that my ram also goes to like 100mb free.....so i dont know if it the OS or not

Have you tried upgrading to another (higher) software version.
714 was a bit baggy at my phone too. I suggest try so try 746 its stable.
havent tried the newest one yet...

where do i download it, because it asks me for my carrier and mine is MTN and they only have til 714 now

Have you tried running the phone without the media card?

are you using a case for your phone?....

my wifes phone kept freezing... I tried everything until I worked out that her non-RIM hard case was too tight and kept causing it to stall.
